Private Client Services

Relocation, residency, property and family matters for founders, investors and their families.

Why does a legal and regulatory firm offer lifestyle services? Because our clients are human beings. They have families. When they invest in a fintech business, buy a regulated company or take a board seat abroad, they often have to move, or at least spend long periods in another country. The business decision quickly becomes a family decision.

Where will the family live? Which residence permit makes sense? Where do you open a personal bank account? Which school for the children, and who looks after them? Who looks after the house, the staff, the art, the boat, while you are on a plane? These questions rarely come one at a time, and they rarely stay inside one country.

So we decided to provide these supporting services ourselves, coordinated by FintechLex and delivered through a network of partners we have worked with across Europe and Asia since 1995. You keep one point of contact. We bring in the right specialist, in the right country, at the right time.

What we coordinate

Immigration and residency

Residency by investment, golden visas, residence and work permits, and the tax regimes that often matter more than the visa itself, such as lump-sum taxation in Switzerland or the non-dom regimes in Greece. We compare the options for your family, not only for your passport. See our guides in Immigration.

Real estate and property

Buying, selling and holding property abroad: due diligence, title checks, structuring, and the properties we currently have for sale, from a historic estate near Geneva to a lakefront villa in Evian. See Real Estate & Property.

Relocation services

Moving a family across borders: housing search, schools, bank accounts, insurance, registration with the local authorities, and the practical steps of the first months.

Private bank account opening

Opening personal accounts with private banks in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Hong Kong, Singapore and elsewhere. We help you choose the bank, prepare the onboarding file (identity, source of wealth, source of funds) and introduce you. The final decision always belongs to the bank, but a well-prepared file saves months.

Foundations and family structures

Foundations and other structures to hold family wealth, organise succession and protect the next generation, in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and other suitable jurisdictions. See our guide on foundations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Education

Choosing schools and universities in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, admissions planning, and boarding or international school options for families who move often.

Nannies and childcare

Finding and hiring a trusted nanny, au pair or governess, checking references, drafting the employment contract under local law, and arranging childcare during the first weeks after a move.

Household staff management

Recruiting, contracting and managing household staff in a way that respects local employment law, from a housekeeper to a full team across several homes.

Personal property management

Looking after residences while you are away: maintenance, suppliers, security, rental where appropriate, and a single report instead of ten phone calls.

Lifestyle management

Day-to-day coordination for busy families: travel, events, memberships, and the many small things that take time when you live between several countries.

Art collection management

Logistics, storage, insurance, conservation and documentation for private collections, including moves between countries and the paperwork that goes with them.

Yacht, jet and luxury asset advisory

Acquisition, registration, crew and management arrangements for yachts, aircraft and other significant personal assets, through specialist partners.

Philanthropy management

Structuring and running family philanthropy, including charitable foundations, grant-making and governance.

How it works

  • One point of contact. You speak to us; we brief and supervise the partners.
  • Local specialists. Lawyers, agents, schools, relocation firms and managers in each country, chosen for the job.
  • Clear terms. Each service is quoted separately, with the partner and the scope named in advance.

A word on regulation

These are non-financial services. That does not mean they are free of rules everywhere. Real estate brokerage, immigration advice, introductions to banks and some transactions in luxury assets are regulated in certain countries, and anti-money laundering rules can apply to property and high-value purchases. Each service is delivered by a partner authorised to provide it where authorisation is required, and we tell you in advance who does what.
